As I find myself in an airport with free wifi, I'm parked in front of a smoking lounge. I can't recall the last time I've seen one of these 'smoking aquariums'? It is vacant, which I will take as a good sign. Spending some time slugging out the bar band scene in my late teens and 20's as a bass player, I couldn't stand the smell of my clothes or my gear by the end of the night after a gig. Doing a few small jaunts throughout the Southeast with a band or two, there were times I didn't know if it would be better to find a laundry-mat to attempt to wash my clothes, or just find a Salvation Army and buy 'new' and trash the old. I can say without a doubt, that I never played a gig at a bar which was non-smoking.
Sitting here contemplating where to take this next post....Miss Marcie Paul, Vice President of the MIOCA happened to make an appearance in my in-box. She was kind enough to let me know that the MIOCA has updated their website and has added my blog and a pretty darn sweet Teal Machine! Much thanks Miss Marcie!!

The sun is now in my eyes and the plane is boarding.
Cheers to the road
